The Prophet Joel says that this event when THE SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS, AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, will last until the "DAY OF THE LORD." He says;
Jesus said that there would be tribulation in the world and that it would be directed against the Christian-Saints. The "tribulation of the saints," as Jesus called it, would be carried out against the Christians-Saints from Jesus' time, down through
the centuries up until the time when THE SUN IS DARKENED AND THE MOON IS TURNED INTO BLOOD and then it would end.
Jesus did not say that the sun would be darkened and the moon would not give her light at some later date after the tribulation ends. Jesus said, "IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION (ends) THE SUN WOULD BE DARKENED AND THE MOON WOULD NOT GIVE HER
LIGHT." If this true, which it is, then this ending of the tribulation would be VERY GOOD NEWS for the Christian-Saints now wouldn't it?
This statement of Jesus concerning the end of the tribulation says that there would come a time when the tribulation of the Christian-Saints would end. Jesus gives more detail of what manner this great tribulation of the Christian-Saints would be. He
says of it;
22: And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23: Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall DECEIVE the very elect.
25: Behold, I have told you before.
26: Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27: For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
But Jesus said that "IMMEDIATELY" AFTER THE TRIBULATION; THE SUN WOULD BE DARKENED AND THE MOON WOULD NOT GIVE HER LIGHT!
This seems to contradict what Jesus said when he said that the tribulation of the Christian-Saints would be over at this time. Many Judeo-Christian Pastors teach their congregations that the prophecy of the Sun being darkened and the Moon being turned
to blood is something to be feared. Nothing could be further from the truth.
It is easy to see that when that Tribulation of the Christian-Saints comes to an end, this ending of that tribulation would be very good news in itself as far as the Christian-Saints are concerned. But it will be bad news for whoever's sun will be
darkened, and whomsoever's moon will not give her light.
But if the SUN BEING DARKENED AND THE MOON BEING TURNED TO BLOOD, was a bad thing and was directed against the Christian-Saints, then it stands to reason that the tribulation of the Christian-Saints would not be over. This would make Jesus out to be
a liar, which he is not. Therefore the Sun being darkened and the moon being turned to blood has to be a good thing as far as the Christian-Saints are concerned because it occurs IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS COMES TO AN END.
Jesus many times talked in parables.
Jesus also used many parables and symbols in his prophecies. In this prophecy concerning the tribulation of the Christian-Saints he used the SUN and the MOON as a symbolic metaphor. In this end time prophecy the symbols of the SUN and the MOON
obviously represent something else than is at first obvious.
The dictionary says of the word "metaphor;"
6: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; AND SHALL DECEIVE MANY.
7: And when ye shall hear of WARS AND RUMOURS OF WARS, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
8: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, AND THEIR SHALL BE FAMINES: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
9: But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the SYNAGOGUES ye
shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
10: And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11: But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
12: Now the brother shall betray the brother TO DEATH, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, AND SHALL CAUSE THEM TO BE PUT TO DEATH.
13: And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

FOUR HORSEMEN THE SUN SHALL BE DARKENED AND THE MOON SHALL BE TURNED TO BLOOD PAGE TWO
In the Bible Jesus said;
Mt. 24:29: IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS SHALL THE SUN BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON SHALL NOT GIVE HER LIGHT, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
The dictionary says of the word "Tribulation:'
trib·u·la·tion (tr¹b"y…-l³"sh…n) n. 1. Great affliction, trial, or distress; suffering. 2. An experience that tests one's endurance, patience, or faith.
Jesus said that there would come a time on this earth when THE SUN WOULD BE DARKENED AND THE MOON WOULD NOT GIVE HER LIGHT. He said that this event would occur IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THE CHRISTIAN-SAINTS.
Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE THE GREAT AND THE TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD COME.
Jesus prophesied that there would be a TRIBULATION on the earth "IN THOSE DAYS." "THOSE DAYS OF THE TRIBULATION" are "THE DAYS THAT PRECEDE THE TIME WHEN THE SUN IS TO BE DARKEND, AND THE MOON IS TO BE TURNED TO BLOOD."
THE TRIBULATION OF THE CHRISTIAN-SAINTS WILL SOON END
Jesus said that there would come a time in the scheme of things when the tribulation of the Christian-Saints would come to an end. He said that, "IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT TRIBULATION, THE SUN WOULD BE DARKENED AND THE MOON WOULD BE TURNED TO
BLOOD." This statement of Jesus' implied that the tribulation would come to an end THE DAY WHEN THE SUN IS DARKEND AND THE MOON WOULD NOT GIVE HER LIGHT.
Mt. 24:21: For then shall be GREAT TRIBULATION, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
When that tribulation of the Christian-Saints comes to an end, as Jesus foretold it would, then it stands to reason that the ending of the tribulation is a good thing as far as God's people are concerned.
The Groilers Encyclopedia says of the word "parable."

A parable--from the Greek parabole, "a setting beside"--is a brief moral tale that uses the devices of ALLEGORY. The parable resembles the FABLE, but whereas a fable is a realistic narrative, a parable is an extended metaphor that alludes to spiritual
truth through a simple story. Jesus Christ frequently used parables; well-known biblical examples include the stories of the Prodigal Son and of the Good Samaritan
Jesus many times used parables, and symbols to hide what he was saying from the enemies of God until the time when the parable and/or symbol would be revealed and/or fulfilled. Jesus often spoke in parables because the hidden messages
behind these parables were only meant for, as Jesus said, for those "who have ears that hear."
met·a·phor (mµt"…-fôr", -f…r) n. 1. Abbr. met., metaph. A figure of speech in which a word or phrase that ordinarily designates one thing is used to designate another, thus making an implicit comparison, as in "a sea of troubles" or. 2. One
thing conceived as representing another; a symbol. --met"a·phor"ic (-fôr"¹k, -f¼r"-) or met"a·phor"i·cal adj. --met"a·phor"i·cal·ly adv.
Jesus gives more detail of that tribulation of the Christian-Saints and reveals what manner of evil would be used to carry out that tribulation against the Christian-Saints, he says of it;
Mark 13:5: And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man DECEIVE YOU:
Notice in the above prophecies Jesus said that the tribulation against the Christian-Saints would consist mainly of four things and they are;
Mark 13:6: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall DECIEVE MANY.
Mark 13:7: And when ye shall hear of WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
Mark 13:8: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, AND THEIR SHALL BE FAMINES and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

In the above prophecy Jesus foretold that the tribulation of God's Christian-Saints would consist mainly of; DECEPTION, WAR, FAMINE, AND DEATH.
