There have been many requests for the original thirteen c-90 audiocassette recordings that were released in November of 1985. These audiocassettes contain over 18 hours of recording by the voice of Roy Taylor as he interpreted the song American Pie.

These tapes took over two years to put together and complete. They have been distributed all over the world and have been passed along from person to person.

These tapes have now become legend.

These 13 C90 audiocassette tapes are now available on line for free as an MP3 download. They contain over eighteen hours of audio. Some people seem to learn better by listening than by reading.

These tapes have been divided into a total of 26 downloadable MP3 audio files.

To download and/or listen to these tapes click on the 'cassette tape' icon that you want to listen to or download. To download these tapes use your right mouse button and select your downloading program. Do this on each sucessive cassette tape icon until you have listened to and/or downloaded all the tapes in MP3 format.

These files are not copyrighted so they can be downloaded and distributed to all who prefer to listen to them. The American Pie project that is published on this site was transcribed from these tapes and published on this site. You can also transfer all 26 files onto CD and listen to them at your leisure especially if you don't like to read. You can also send these files to your friends as an attachment to an emailing. Some people learn better by listening than reading.
